Our studio provides so much more beyond class itself!

We offer multiple opportunities for all students to perform outside of our yearly recital!

BI-YEARLY STUDIO TRIP

Every two years, we invite the entire studio (usually within a particular age range depending on the event) to participate in a large-scale dance event! In the past, we have danced halftime at the Orange Bowl in FL, choreographed by Mandy Moore, taken one of our own dances to Disney World to perform while dancing in a Disney Parade choreographed by Witney Carson (Dancing with the Stars), and in the summer of 2018 will be headed to NYC to dance in Times Square! Future events will include dancing on cruise ships, returning to Disney again, and anything else- the sky is the limit! Don’t miss out on the future fun!

PERFORMANCE TEAM

In 2016, we started a DA XIV non-competitive performance team for any dancer that wanted extra performance opportunities. This team participates in local parades & Shippensburg University & Wilson College halftimes, and any additional events we can drum up through the year. In the past, the studio has been invited to dance at a Warriors/76ers game, Cumberland Valley Sampler and various other sporting and non sporting events.

COMPETITION TEAM

We offer an audition-only competition team for any student ages 5+. This team meets all year, and participates in three local competitions in the Spring. The highest level of dedication and commitment that the studio offers, our competition team students are challenged at a higher level, and it shows in the results of the competitions themselves- as our students regularly bring home overall awards, judges awards, and have won studio-wide awards from those competitions. Competition students are also invited to attend 1-2 conventions each year with famous instructors from around the world. Competition auditions are held mid-May each year.

MASTER CLASSES

In an effort to bring additional opportunities to the studio, throughout the year we bring in outside instructors for master classes open to any student. In the past we have had a former Rockette, a professional musical theater actress, and teachers from studios around the US come to offer their expertise for our students!

NATIONAL HONOR SOCIETY OF DANCE ARTS

Open to any high school junior or senior, we are pleased to be one of 8 studios in PA that can induct students into the NHSDA. Done on a graded rubric scale, the qualifications for NHSDA is based on academic achievement, involvement in the studio, and personal growth as a dancer. The National Honor Society of Dance Arts is a Nationally recognized honor society that can be used on college applications, and has multiple scholarship opportunities even if a student does not major in dance.
